Excavating Services in Indianapolis and Central Indiana

Fifteen service lines out of one shop in Lebanon, Indiana, for homeowners, contractors, builders, businesses and municipalities.

Most excavating work falls into one of three problems. Something has to go under the ground and stay there. Water is sitting where it should not be. Or something has to come out, come down, or be built back up to grade.

We run all three out of the same shop, which is the reason a job does not stall waiting for another trade. A sewer lateral that needs the drive cut and put back, a wet yard that turns out to be a failed line rather than a grading problem, a shelter that needs the hole and the backfill and the restoration: those are one call here.

The fifteen below are not a menu somebody wrote to look thorough. They are the work that has come through the same shop in Lebanon since 1964.

Most of it starts underground. Water lines, sewer and sump lines, sump pits, drainage and a bored crossing under a driveway are the calls that come in when something has failed or a new building needs service run to it. That work is invisible a day after it is finished, which is the point of doing it properly.

The rest is the ground itself: a finish grade for a slab, a driveway, a culvert, a retaining wall holding a change in grade, erosion control on a creek bank, a pond, a cleared lot. And below grade, storm shelters and carbon fiber strapping on a foundation wall that has started to move.

If you are not sure which of these your problem is, that is normal and it is our job rather than yours. Describe what you are seeing, we come look at it, and the estimate names the work.

01

Underground

Everything that goes in a trench and gets covered up. The work you only see once, so it has to be right the first time.

01

Water and ground

Central Indiana clay holds water and gives it up slowly. Most of what we fix here is water sitting somewhere it was never meant to sit.

01

Below grade

Shelters, foundation work and taking things down. Heavier work, and the part of the job where the license matters.

Not Sure Which Service You Need

That is normal, and it is the reason the first visit exists. Plenty of the calls we take describe a symptom rather than a service, and the symptom is often pointing at something other than what the caller assumed.

Describe what you are seeing. We will tell you what it usually turns out to be, and if it is not our work we will say so.
